Encouraging Leadership
Unlike learning at traditional public schools, Venture Academy encourages its students to take charge of learning. Students are members of teams, get internship experience, create their own learning paths and have time set aside so they can focus on creative projects.
Finding Your Passion
Integrating science, technology, engineering, the arts, and design, Makertime lets students experience the joy of making: tinkering, creating and exploring. Makertime students engage in team project learning in Venture’s Makerspace room, as well as in online virtual expeditions, video lessons and arts learning.

Recent News
In October, 2012, Venture Academy was named one of 20 winners of the national Next Generation Learning Challenges Wave IIIa competition to identify breakthrough school models, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates and William and Flora Hewlett foundations and supported by the Council of Chief State School Officers.
