Venture is comprised of 95% low income, 33% English Language Learners, 25% sp. Ed. Student body demographics: 60% Latino, 8% Am. In., 25% African American, 5% Caucasian, 2% 2 or more races.

+ WHAT’S THE AVERAGE CLASS SIZE?

There are 30–35 students per class, with opportunities for small group instruction. Typically, there are 2 teachers to every 15 students, with some classes 3 teachers to 10 students.

+ DO YOU PROVIDE TECHNOLOGY TO STUDENTS?

Each student may receive a computer, either an IE Chromebook or Lenovo.

+ CAN I HAVE A TOUR OF THE BUILDING?

Yes, we currently offer COVID-19 safe in–person tours, as well as virtual tours of the facilities.

+ DO YOU OFFER BUSING SERVICES?

Yes, in addition to other accommodations on a case-by-case basis, as well as free bus/train passes for public transit.

+ HOW DO INTERNSHIPS WORK?

Students take an elective class that teaches them professional skills and helps them explore their interest. They have opportunities to get out in the community and learn from working professionals. From there, they are able to seek out an internship if they choose to do so!

+ WHAT EXTRACURRICULARS OR ELECTIVE CLASSES DOES VENTURE OFFER?

Middle School: theater, physical education, art, free after-school programming

High School: art, design, health, gym, theater, gym, theater, advanced placement art, recording, filmmaking, computer Science, and a variety of other core content electives.
